Valentine’s Day

I had a great Valentine’s Day – without a Valentine in sight.  I helped my daughter do valentines for her classmates and asked my oldest son what he was doing for his girlfriend.  That was as close as I got to hearts and flowers.

But I had a really good day.  All day long I kept thinking about how nice it was to be single and at peace.  I feel like I’m living well for the first time in my life, with every day full and complete, rather than a shattered, frenetic hidden disaster.

It was the best Valentine’s Day I’ve ever had.
