Farewell

Danni Mossman-Tucker

April 27, 1964 – June 13, 2010

From the siblings of Danni Moss:

On June 13, 2010, following a prolonged battle with cancer, Danni departed this life and stepped into the presence of the Lord.

Obviously, this creates a significant question as to the future of this blog. We are enormously proud of Danni and the work to which she had dedicated herself and we definitely want to preserve the wisdom God gave her to impart to others through her exceptional writing. In addition, due to Danni’s tireless efforts, this blog is now a reference resource for many others both online and off.

In light of that, we have made the decision to keep her blog online as long as possible.  However, as there will be no one present to moderate comments or respond to emails, we will be disabling those functions. We WILL allow comments on THIS post for a period of time for those who might want to leave remembrances. We are archiving those for Danni’s children so they will understand the extent of her ministry.

She will be greatly missed…

  1. I am deeply humbled by Dani Moss work. I came to her blog about 1 1/2 years ago and have followed this blog on my Google Reader. Dani Moss is a trail blazer.

    Thank you for keeping the blog contents open for others to reference to.

    My prayers for Dani Moss family and children.

  2. I am very sorry for your tragic loss. Having lost friends and family to this disease as well, I know how bitter and painful it can feel. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

    This is a difficult loss for some of us in the wider Christian community as well. Danni gave many of us the courage to shine a light on hidden evils that were (and still are) allowed to move unchecked and unchallenged within the Church.

    I absolutely needed this courage when I was deciding whether or not to let fellow believers bully me into silence about wounds they inflicted on my family. She was one of the reasons I decided to advocate for these issues.

    Thank you for keeping this website up as a resource. I’m confident it will inspire more wounded believers to take up Danni’s torch and end their silence about abuse in the Church. Meanwhile, I’ll continue to feature her work on my blog as well.

  3. I will miss you Danni, and I will never forget you! I was thinking recently of getting together another goodie box for you and your daughter.

    You had such a way with words – a genuine gift to those of us that were also wounded. I’m glad your blog will stay up for others to read. You could really touch the hearts that needed it in just the right place!

    My prayers are with your family and friends now. I know you are peace at last.

  4. So sorry to hear of Danni’s passing. She held up a light and fought a good fight. Time will tell the good that she accomplished. Blessings on all of her family and friends as you adjust to life without her presence. Stay close to the Lord…….

  5. I am so sorry to read about Dani’s battle with cancer. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

    She was a courageous, compassionate person who did all she could to combat injustice and bring healing/help to the wounded. She will be missed , but remembered by many as an inspiration to follow in her footsteps. .

  6. Danni’s ministry hear at this website has been such a lifesaver to me. I’m so sorry to hear that she has passed on as her wealth of wisdom and compassion and strength have impacted so many people’s lives, including my own. I’m sure, however, that she is full of joy unspeakable as she basks in the full presence of the Lord.

    My sympathies to all of her family, especially her children, during this trial of life.

    God bless

  7. Oh sweet Danni, How I miss you. I will never forget the support you gave, the offer of friendship, the hours spent sharing our stories…and because of you…my story was published…and in a way I was validated and set free. My sweet sister, I am so happy you are with your Father and this year…your first spent in HIS arms. Free of bad memories, free of pain. I know in your final days you must have worried a little about your family and a little about us. Please know GOD is with us. I PRAY THAT HE RAISE UP A TEAM TO TAKE OVER IN YOUR MEMORY…the LEGACY MUST LIVE ON…you gave volume to a whispered cry…so deep even the church could not hear. Please sing, dance and rejoice for all eternity in HIS presence.

  8. Danni has been an inspiration to so many, bringing darkness into the light, fighting against widespread abuse within the church, and encouraging the victims of such abuse to speak out. She is very much appreciated by many, many people. She was a warrior for Love and Truth. A strong and amazing woman. She will be greatly missed.

  9. Dani,
    Yes, you will be GREATLY missed! I found you by divine intervention about 6 months ago, after starting my own blog, and struggling to cope with an abusive relationship. You were the bright light & great encouragment through your sound advice and spiritual wisdom to help me out of a bad relationship.
    I will be eternally grateful for your work here on this blog. Many blessings for those you have touched over the years, and those you leave behind.
    What a blessing to finally be free eternally and with our Father God.
    Thank you Danni, and thanks to those who have decided to keep this blog up for reference to help many as it has helped me.

  10. 1 The LORD is my shepherd;
    I shall not want.
    2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
    He leads me beside the still waters.
    3 He restores my soul;
    He leads me in the paths of righteousness
    For His name’s sake.

    4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil;
    For You are with me;
    Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

    5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
    You anoint my head with oil;
    My cup runs over.
    6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
    All the days of my life;
    And I will dwell[a] in the house of the LORD
    Forever.
    Psalm 23

    Danni’s wisdom and insight have touched many. She is well loved by many. I pray for Danni’s children. May the Lord comfort and shepherd them.

    Much Love,

    Charis
